Is this forgiveness legal and real?

R138 Inc. Purchased your debt within a larger debt portfolio. Once we became owners of your debt, the debt is then legally owed to us. Since the debt is ours to collect we are able to either pursue the debt for collection, attempt to make a settlement, offer forgiveness, or attempt to re-sell your account. We have chosen to offer forgiveness.
How was I selected for this?
You were not individually selected. You have done nothing to earn this forgiveness. Your debt just happened to be sold within a debt portfolio that we had the opportunity to purchase. We process 100% of the debtors in portfolios we purchase for forgiveness.
Why are y’all forgiving debt?
We believe that forgiveness is an important concept of our Christian faith and this method of financial debt forgiveness enables us to make a significant impact while allowing us to practice forgiving others in a practical way.
What is the point of this? Is this some sort of evangelism trap?
No. We do hope that encountering extravagant generosity and genuine forgiveness would contribute positively to your relationship with God. We hope that this gives Christians and non’christians a different view of the forgiveness God offers through Jesus Christ. We hope as well that those receiving forgiveness will be inspired to begin a new direction in their financial life and we are here to help towards that end. Yet, your forgiveness is not contingent upon any profession of faith or litmus test of behavior. In fact, you are free to reject this forgiveness if you choose.
What do I do if I want to reject this forgiveness?
Simple. Contact our office (info@owenothing.org) and we will follow up with you to verify your account we will be glad to calculate the amount due. If you reject forgiveness, your account may be subject to a considerable number of interest and late payment fees but if you prefer to not be forgiven we can accommodate that at your request and receive your payment.
